TROUTS GUANTANAMO

April, 2009

A word about the name of our garden, Guantanamo.  We think there is no better way to call attention to a horrible thing than to name a beautiful thing after it.

SPRING PLANTING CONTINUES

Bob continues planting the expanded garden in lettuce, peas, onions, flowers, wheat - you name it, he's planted it!  On the right is the beginning of a second potato patch.

This is the best time of year for a garden.  Plenty of rain, long days and the bugs have not arrived yet.

Lettuce and beets!  Bob has installed a sprinkler system on a timer that can water the garden when we're gone in May.

Onions on the left and hops on the right.

Beets, turnips, stevia, parsley and garlic.

Inside the house, the grow lights are making a tomato forest.
