THANKSGIVING, 2009

A Happy Meal in Bynum with Jill, Andy and Mr. Pickles

SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY

Jill and Andy are really nice people who have a really nice house in a really cool neighborhood and being from the south, they really know how to make everyone feel welcome.  This year, they invited thirteen people to their home to share a Thanksgiving meal.  Everyone brought food and we all made sure to go for a nice stroll down to the Bynum bridge and back between dinner and dessert.

Also, thank you Jill for taking all these fine pictures and lending your camera to Bob for the photos featuring your smiling face.

BOB, CAMILLE AND NED

Our good friend Ned drove down for the weekend and met us at Jill and Andy's.  This time, Bob wasn't wearing sunglasses.  Ned and Bob were college roommates at Colorado University and have a collection of pictures of themselves in sunglasses.  There's one from 1977, and others from 1984, 1996 and May of this year.

AMANDA AND JOSEPH

Sharing laughter and life.

It's plain to see that these two were meant for each other.  Joseph's hands show the hard-earned patina of his craft.  He is a potter.

PATTY, CHRIS AND LYNETTE

Patty shares her son, Chris with the always lovely Lynette.

MORGAN AND GREG

Morgan and Greg like to share their big brains, among other things.

CAMILLE AND BOB

Camille and Bob share a rare serious moment.

CAMILLE AND JILL

Camille and Jill like to share candy at work.

SILLINESS

Most of the time, Camille and Bob are just plain silly together.

MISTER PICKLES

Mr. Pickles, Jill and Andy's Labrador/St. Bernard cross believes he is small enough to fit on Morgan's lap so he climbed right up onto the couch and made himself right at home.

After mobbing both Morgan and Greg, he too a slight pause to celebrate the plateau before attempting salivary contact with Bob.  Bob held up his hand to block the advance and was rewarded with a loving swipe of Mr. Pickles large, pink tongue.

OKAY, WHO BROUGHT THE BEER?

As is his habit, Bob brought some home brew to the party and generously passed it around.  Click on the photo to get a better look at the brewer.
